Spending time this morning focusing on gratitude for our scientists.. med staff... vaccinators:... the vaccinated (playing their part too)... the vets, teachers, shop workers, food bank volunteers, shelters , public transport operators , animal shelters, homeless outreach... the humans around us who have done their best to keep things going as best they can
A lot of them are stressed out, worn out, traumatised ... I think jobs aside, everyone has been over the past few years. But from the vaccine researchers to the members of the public who wear masks, wash hands 50 times a day, who still stop to help someone despite all the risks of catching ‘it’... it’s time to reflect and see that if all of the above stopped we couldn’t function at all. Supply chains would be messed up, hospitals would be pointless, we would have primary school children severely intellectually delayed, the shops would be closed and there would be no medicine in any pharmacy let alone on the shelves. Accidents on the roads or break downs would clog them all. There’d be no transport because there’d be no gas supply at all once depleted. If you start to notice that every person has a part to play in society’s function you start to realise that regardless of profession, qualification, age, health , ethnicity, we couldn’t function as a society without each other’s input. So whilst spending some time reflecting on all the above and being grateful for them, remember to include yourself because you have overcome a lot since 2020. It’s not been easy for anybody and you are still here
