You got you. You need you
And they need you too

If you have a roof above you
Food in your tummy
If you have a bed
Warm clothes and shoes

If you have a car or two legs and are not housebound
If you have been to school in your life
And feel safe where you live

And you have photos on the walls of your house of people who love(d) you
And you have at least 1 person who checks in with you

And you’re not always in pain
And you made it through life’s darkest days
And you’re physically (mostly) working well

You have so much to be grateful for today

Many dream of any of the above
When times are tough focus on what you do have

Rather than what you feel is absent

If you feel like giving up

Not today, not tomorrow

When we think of helplines
We sometimes think of those who talk like a robot, not motivated or interested? Not helpful?

Sure- some are that way- but employees from anywhere can be

Don’t let one bad experience put you off calling back

Put down the phone and re dial, chances are you will get someone nicer and get the help you need

Children are young and we must remember as adults that we are here to patiently guide them through life , to teach. It’s easy to feel frustrated with them, especially if you are stressed out yourself
But next time you feel like snapping
Take a deep breath and hold it, remind yourself that the kid in-front of you is only just beginning to process and learn about the world, life, how it all works, what it’s all about

We learn by making mistakes. Kids will push you to your limits sometimes, you might question your sanity or whether they are listening. They are, they will. Just be patient
