Post by Nativelynn Tue Jan 14, 2020 1:02 am

This is a backdrop to the poems I will be putting out there for you all to read and hopefully enjoy.

Some of the poems are religious, some are funny and others are about people who have come through my life..

In the next post I will start with a poem I wrote about my dad when in passed in January 2004.

    Enjoy

Poems From The Heart Empty Re: Poems From The Heart

Post by Nativelynn Tue Jan 14, 2020 1:16 am

This Poem I wrote on January 10, 2004 and is called:

    A Man Died Today

    A man died today,
A man we called a brother, friend,
    husband and a daddy.

A man that wanted all of his children to meet someday,
    and this day has come.

A daddy I never had the pleasure to get to know,
but heard stories of how he was.

Daddy, that word is taken so lightly today,
to really know what a daddy is really suppose to be,
and understand how much he went through to find me,
is really hard for me to conceive.

Looking at him today was hard for me to do,
and know that I will never know how he cried over me and you.

I can say he looked peaceful lying there,
and looking above seeing all his children in one place,
holding each other through this hard time.

He was looking down smiling probably telling Jesus himself:
    "Look they found each other,
now help them stay with one another,
    those are my babies."

I hope he was happy at the way we turned out today,
and I know he is in a better place.

Poems From The Heart Empty Re: Poems From The Heart

Post by Nativelynn Tue Jan 14, 2020 5:00 pm

This next poem has no title but was written for my partner on February 28, 2010.

I found that woman who makes me complete,
it took a while but we did meet.

In the last few months we've had stuff,
but never anything we could not discuss.

I only want her in my life
    no one else matters.

I found the woman I wanted,
the one I've always been looking for.

The first day I saw you,
I knew you were the one for me its true.

We've had our struggles but still here we are,
together and strong and in love.

When I hold you in my arms,
my heart is full of the love I want.

A woman who loves me like I do her,
that woman she has my heart for sure.

Post by Nativelynn Tue Jan 14, 2020 11:00 pm

This poem I wrote April 6, 2005 and does not have a title.

    Season's come and go,
    but everything does grow.

    Winter brings clouds and snow,
the card when send at Christmas winter shows.

Spring the flowers blossom and blooms,
you smell all the sweet perfumes.

Baby animals are born this time of year,
they walk around with little fear.

    Summer time is really hot,
    people swim in ocean spots.

Time of when you out of school,
don't have the learn the golden rule,
and kids can swim all day in pools,
to them this is really cool.

And then there's fall with colorful leaves,
and brown comes upon the trees,
and we wait to see what spring brings.

See every season God made that way,
to help us see his hand in a day.

    Remember God created all,
no matter winter, spring, summer or fall,
God made us to on him call,
that's the purpose when we call.

Absolutely beautiful, wonderful auric sensory in your wording.

    With it's own lilting cadence.

Congratulations on 10 years cheers heart_sign
Thank you for sharing your poems, they are beautiful and i'm sure they were warming to recieve. It made me think about how some people will always feel they need to shower loved ones/partners/friends with flowers but really the nicest gifts are the ones tha come from the heart. A poem, a letter, a text message that is from your heart, words of gratitude showing you care , reminding that person what they mean to you. What nicer way than a poem like this.....

wishing you both all the best
